Sommeliers Australia Education Scholarship 2010
Our 2010 scholars have been announced!
The Sommeliers Education Course Scholarship offers a select group of just 12 working Sommeliers from across Australia an incredible opportunity to further develop their skills, with a view to 'raising the bar' and streamlining the accreditation of Australian Sommeliers.
This world-class, intensive and stand-alone program combines aspects of the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), the Court of Master Sommeliers and The Len Evans Tutorial in an unique and distinctly international tasting and benchmarking program that is also very sympathetic to the Australian market. A key highlight in this year's programme will be the incorporation of international competition elements, gleaned by David Lawler and Franck Moreau and their recent participation in the 'Best Sommelier of Asia-Oceanic' and 'Sommelier du Monde' competitions.
Held in Melbourne, this intensive course, supported and fully funded by our partners, gives scholars an opportunity to taste many of the great wines of world throughout the program.
The best performing candidate will be awarded Dux, and as part of this award will receive airfares to visit wine regions in Europe.
