Undoubtedly the most important red grape in New Zealand, there is plenty to discuss when looking at Pinot Noir from the 2008 Vintage. The general feeling is that this vintage is not only very good (read excellent, say some), but that the wines have great balance and truly reflect the regions they come from.
In light of the impending Pinot Noir 'love-in' in Wellington, Sommeliers Australia members will get a blow by blow insight into what was discussed and discovered, and have a chance to taste some of the most highly respected producers from both islands.
Discussion will be led by Ben Edwards, and supplemented by meaningful insights from some people involved in actually making the wines. This should be a spectacular tasting.
