  CANDIDATES SHOULD AIM TO COLLECT THEIR MATERIAL AT LEAST 3 WEEKS IN ADVANCE TO FAMILIARIZE THEMSELVES WITH THE LEVEL 3 CONTENT.

PAYMENT IN INSTALMENTS IS AVAILABLE.

The Advanced Certificate qualification is designed to give a thorough understanding of the principal wines of the world, and their commercial importance in the world's liquor market.

The qualification will assist those who are required to make professional evaluations of wines, with regard to their commercial value in the retail and hospitality industry. It also provides candidates with an in-depth understanding of wine styles, wine regions, grape varieties, and wine production methods. Holders of the WSET level 3 Advanced Certificate in Wines will be able to describe the characteristics of the principle wines of the world and give information on the key factors influencing style, quality and value. The qualified student will also be in a position to advise management, to answer customer queries authoritatively, and to make informed selections of wines in a variety of situations. The Course is also suitable for keen enthusiasts wanting to continue their wine studies in a structured manner.

The course covers the following:
- Tasting Techniques
- Burgundy and Alsace
- Bordeaux and South West France
- Loire, Rhone and Southern France
- Germany, Austria, Hungary
- Italy
- Spain and Portugal
- USA,Canada and Chile,
- Greece, Argentina and South Africa
- Sparkling wines
- Fortified wine

Palate training is part of every lesson.

The course will run over Monady and Tuesday evenings (6.30-8.30pm) on the 6th, 7th, 13th , 14th, 20th, 21st, 27th, 28th of February and the 6th, 7th, 14th, 20th of March. There will also be an intensive Saturday class held for a full day on the 25th of February.

The examination will be held on the 27th of March.

Please note: No refunds will be issued 10 days prior to the start of the course. Before that period a 75% refund is allowed if a student cancels their enrolment. A 100% refund will apply if Wine House cancels.

There is a re-sit exam fee of $180 if a student does not attend the exam for any reason. We recommend students download and read the specification here prior to booking.
