The 'Fussy Bastards' are coming to town and they're extending an invitation to the other fussy bunch! Yes, you the hard-to-please wine trade are being invited to come along to the Roof Top Bar at Sydney's Coast Restaurant on Tuesday October 9 from 3-6pm to sample the fruits of the Hunter Valley winemakers' labour.
The pernickety producers from the Hunter Valley have chosen an excellent harbour side location – no surprise that they consider a great site to be of the utmost importance – where you can taste a select sample of the Hunter Valley's finest wines at your leisure and talk to the fussy folks behind the brands.
You'll be able to taste:
•Gold and Trophy award-winning wines from the 2012 Clear Image Hunter Valley Wine Show and discuss the merits with some of the wine show judges.
•The only decent flagship reds in the country – from 2011 – the Hunter Valley shiraz (yes, in addition to being fussy, Hunter Valley winemakers are also forthright in their opinions!).
•Semillon in all its incarnations – zesty, off-dry, wild and well, just downright delicious.
But hey, who are they to say? You're a fussy bunch – you be the judge!
